Additionally, 21 AACPS schools won the Maryland Blue Ribbon. The district has an overall rating of 7 according to GreatSchools.org.

School in the AACPS district are well-versed in addressing the needs of military children, with 8,000 military-connected children in the district.

Crofton has four schools. One of the highest rated schools is Crofton Woods Elementary School, which has a rating of 10 according to GreatSchools.org.
