Brandenburg

About

To the west of Fort Knox lies Brandenburg, a beautiful area close to the Indiana border. This town doesn’t draw as many military members as the corridor stretching from Radcliff to Elizabethtown, but it is attractive to those looking for a bit of separation from the base and those who want to enjoy the region’s natural beauty. The area is growing, and more corn fields are being turned into subdivisions each year.

A particularly appealing neighborhood in Brandenburg is Doe Valley, a community of about 800 homes that has a private lake for the residents. You pay a premium to live in Doe Valley but the lake access is a great benefit.
